the past few days have quite possibly been the best of the summer.

not that i've done anything wildly entertaining, but i just feel like i'm finally having the summer i wanted, where people just call me up and we go somewhere, no difficult planning or schedules or me having to drive people too much.

it's nice.

i finished harry potter 6. wow, it was depressing and horrible and made me long for the 7th book, but i loved it. jk rowling = genius, but i'm really not at all sure how she's going to finish her story in one more book, which she has stated will be smaller than the previous ones. i'll be curious to see her do it successfully though, as i know only she could.

patrick and i went to see charlie and the chocolate factory last night, i was surprised by the movie and how much i liked it. i thought the tim burton spin might end up ruining the story, which i love, but the scenes he chose to add actually improved on the original in my opinion, and i loved the cinematography and the atmosphere. and the new oompa loompas grew on me. of course the fact that patrick laughed extraordinarily like johnny depp's character made it all the more entertaining.

i went to warehouse for church, with patrick. i liked it; they sang at the end of the service which i've always thought was the right time to do it, and therefore made me like it better. other than that there weren't many differences than any other church i've been to. but intriguing young men abounded, which probably means i'll be returning. sad, isn't it. but at least it's an incentive to go, and i actually enjoyed listening to the sermon, moreso than i have at my past churches. maybe it's because i went on my own accord.

after church, starbucks; and then sara came over and we drove down to the lake with my mum, but she forgot the boat key (genius) so we had to come back home. sara and i watched the end of 4 different movies, and then josh came over and sara left and josh and i watched a series of unfortunate events, which i hadn't seen yet. then we ate at mcalisters, and drove around for a long long time with lawrence, and then came back to my house and hung out for a while so i could make him a duct tape wallet.

now, i'm tired because i didn't get much sleep last night, but i'm staying up for jeffy because i've been neglecting him and we need to catch up. yay.

~tomorrow perhaps shopping, which might be fun.
~tuesday ice skating with sara, finally, and i'm so excited. omg.
~wednesday is reserved for brittany, although i'm not sure what she intends to do with it.
~thursday emerald pointe at last, where i shall fufill my desire to go down a waterslide which has been bothering me all summer.
~friday might be the lake, conisdering i won't have seen my family much all week, and i hear a rumour about a beach trip or something. i don't know yet though.

i think that's enough for this entry, don't you agree?
